FSC Mess Club 10K Race and Fun Run
2012
The Mess Club of the Fire Service College will be holding its
third 10K Race and Fun Run, which is back by popular demand and
this year will be held in aid of the Anthony Nolan Trust.
The event will take place on Sunday 29 April, starting
at 10.30am and the gates will open at 9.00am.
The route consists of two laps of our unique incident
ground where runners will be able to see training facilities which
include planes, trains, a shopping centre and a ship, amongst
others.
The event is open to both serious and fun runners, as well as
families who fancy walking the route. Bourton Road Runners
have assisted the College by accurately measuring out the course
for those wishing to go for a personal best time.
Julian Fountaine, President of the Mess Club, said "This is
our third 10K Race and a great opportunity to raise money for a
worthwhile cause. Anthony Nolan (Be a Match, Save a Life) is
the chosen charity for my year as President of the Mess Club and
this event will be the highlight and culmination of our fundraising
calendar".
